One of the projects that the Lieutenancy funded in 2015 was work at the Church at Marj Alhamam in Amman, Jordan, to which we sent £50,000.  The Church was inaugurated with High Mass on 15 September, as shown in the invitation received by one of our members.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

Under the patronage of

His Beatitude Patriarch Fouad Twal

Latin Parish of Marj Alhamam

-Amman, Jordan-

Joyfully invites you to share with parishioners and faithful the inauguration High Mass of the new church

On Thursday, September 15. 2016

At 5.00 p.m.

“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple". (Ps.27)

Fr Hanna, the parish priest, has thanked us for our generosity, in the following message:

Really I thank you on behalf of the parish for the knights of England  and Wales for your support to the church. I knew that your lieutenancy contributed to the church project, but I never knew the amount. Your contribution is great it’s a sign of your love and solidarity  towards the Holy Land. Please convey my sincere thanks to the lieutenant all the knights. I enclose in the attachment some photos of the church. The pictures are taken on 18/6/2016 in the first mass in the church where 4 sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition congregation did their religious vows in the mass. These sisters are working in my parish and have a regional novitiate house.

Best regards

Fr. Hanna Kildani
